Fridays 2 - 5pm and Saturdays 10 - 5pm Mid April to end of October. The
Scar Gallery shows the work of David William Morris and Caroline A Metcalfe-Gibson
(with some work by other artists living locally). David's paintings (mostly in
oil, but some also in acrylic, watercolour and pastel) are often intuitive explorations
of figures and landscapes, sometimes abstracted and usually colourful. Caroline's
work is based on sharply observed drawing, often in pen and ink of places of buildings
characteristic of the area. Her watercolours are more freely applied, but none-the-less
derive from close observation. Upfront Gallery
