Hi, Hola, Now then

This is where you, if you are aged under 19 can find out about and join in with Eden Arts projects. Please use this form to register, then we can let you know when stuff is happening. If you are undertaking your Arts Award or you are an Arts Award Centre we can help you as Eden Arts is an Arts Award Supporter. Currently we are working on several projects that may be of interest and could help you work towards completing your Arts Award.

Love Cinema? Take the lead…

Our REMOTE Cinema project takes place in Eden villages in winter-spring. We have all the kit available and can help with publicity etc, it’s up to you to pick films and get involved in making the event work. We are particularly keen to encourage cinema events that feature more than just showing a film eg dressing up, food, party atmosphere etc etc. We like stuff like this here Ghostbusters gig (ok might be difficult in your village hall but well think of what you could do). We already have the following villages running REMOTE cinema events so if you would like to get on the organising committee of any of these villages or start your own let us know.

Appleby, Askham, Bampton, Brampton, Brough, Croglin, Crosby Ravensworth, Dufton                                                                   Gamblesby, Great Asby,  Great Salkeld, Lazonbym Kings Meaburn,  Shap, Skirwith

Young C-ART, are you a budding artist?

Coming soon is our Young Cumbrian Artist of the Year competition, with a chance to have your work professionally exhibited, be part of C-Art 2014, be part of the Young C-art online gallery and win art materials. More details coming soon.

Take Part in the Woollen Woods

We are now inviting people to make artworks for a 2014 Woollen Woods installation at National Trust property Sizergh. The exhibition will be open from 12th April – 1st September 2014 and the deadline for artwork submissions is 4th April 2014.

There are lots of artwork ideas and patterns you can use, from felted squirrels, knitted birds to crochet leaves! A special tree inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film ‘The Birds’ is also being planned and we are encouraging people to make crows and ravens for it. If you would like to contribute you can download the knitted crow pattern or use an alternative design or technique. Click here to find out more, download patterns and get an entry form to submit your work.
