TRUMPETS AND DRUMS!
Jilly Jarman from BlueJam Arts is creating a special piece of music for the Winter Droving Festival. It is to be played by trumpets and drums and is based on calls and responses echoing down the length of the parade as it moves down through the town.
TRUMPETS
We will need at least 6 confident trumpet players to lead each section, and as many other horn players as we can find – these can be from beginners, to returners to people who would like to have a blast before their embouchure goes.
DRUMS
We will also have groups of drummers playing surdos and deep drums and are inviting school children to join in with rattles and sticks and bells.

The music will be simple and easy to learn and there will be three rehearsals (dates to be decided) leading up to the procession performance.
