#66 Works Emerging Creatives
A programme of opportunities for young creatives to develop their skills and experience work in a professional setting.
Partnering with the University of Cumbria Institute of the Arts as part of the #66 Works initiative, we aim to provide a series of opportunities for Emerging Creatives in Cumbria and the #66 region including;
- Emerging Cumbrian Artist of the Year
Formerly the Young Cumbrian Artist of the Year this open exhibition offers the opportunity to both young and emerging artists in the region to enter and exhibit work in a professional gallery setting.
- Emerging Curators
Partnering with established institutions (galleries and museums) the Emerging Curators programme offers emerging creatives the opportunity to experience behind the scenes of professional exhibition curation and install.
- Workforce Creation
A limited number of students, initially from the University of Cumbria's Institute of the Arts, will be offered a placement at Eden Arts to gain an insight into the governance of an Arts Council NPO with attendance at a board meeting, mirroring staff and joining networking visits.
