The inaugural Open Studio event in 2011, supported by Booths and Derwent Pencils gave the public an opportunity to get to know the artists and their work as well as to explore all that Cumbria and the Lake District has to offer.
After a second hugely productive year in 2012,134 artists and independent galleries opened their studios to 11,500 visitors generating in excess of £76,000 in sales. Planning is already in place for C-Art 2013, which will run from 14 – 29 September 2013, highlighting the best Cumbrian visual and applied arts in another two-week event this September.
