Eden Arts are on the lookout for event staff, stage managers, production crew, tech-savvy bods to join our freelance pool.

At Eden Arts we often have a need to put a crew together quickly for specific tasks, meaning we don’t always have the time to advertise opportunities to the general public. This leads to us working with the same people often, and whilst there are advantages to this approach we know there are many more talented people out there, who would love to work with us on our projects.

This is why we are doing an open call for our upcoming season, whilst we are not advertising for specific roles, we do have a general idea of some of the projects we will need assistance on, from July onwards for 2021 and into 2022.

Our go-to freelance team is made up of enthusiastic mucker-inners, great team players and go-getters. These roles range from highly skilled technical crew and people friendly staff and often can include the basics - ie lifting and moving equipment, loading and unloading, standing for long periods, uneven terrain, outdoor working in all weather, possible camping overnight and weekend working.

Picnic Cinema

July 2021 - The Norths No. 1 Outdoor Cinema taking place at a remote location in Shap in 2021. This sold-out event runs with a small crew team who handle everything from setting up equipment, entertaining audiences, health & safety management and running a bar.

The Winter Droving

October 2021 - Fire, Music, Masks and Mayhem in Pooley Bridge & Penrith Town Centre. The Winter Droving usually involves a team of around 30 freelance crew taking on roles such as stage managers, informational staff, artist liaison, site crew, team managers, market managers and more.

Large Scale Installations

We have a range of large scale installation works and artist commissions in the pipeline which we are currently awaiting funding outcomes for. These projects will include artist liaison, logistics support, site crew.
